• Anoka Equine is pleased to welcome the following new staff members!!!
  • Dr. David Schwinghamer - Veterinarian
    • Dr. David Schwinghamer is a Minnesota native from the southeast Twin Cities region. He began his veterinary studies in 2000 at Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his final year at Texas A&M University, School of Veterinary Medicine. He began practicing in an ambulatory practice outside of North Branch, MN in 2004. After two years he joined a private pratice in San Antonio, TX with emphasis on surgery, emergency and referral type medicine. David and his wife Theresa have two children, Lindsay and Logan.  His primary interests are spending time with his family as well as hunting waterfowl in the fall months. He is excited to be back in Minnesota as well as eager to get to know the clients and patients of Anoka Equine Veterinary Services.

• Corinne - Technician
  • Corinne enjoys being outdoors and riding. Her mom got her and her sister Danielle interested in horses at a young age. Corinne is currently training her 8 year old mare "Nyanna" in games. Barreling is their favorite and they never pass up a trail ride on a nice day!  Their household is busy with 3 dogs, 3 cats and a guinea pig. Corinne's goal for the future is to buy her own property for a hobby farm.

• Kim - Office Staff
  • After years of working in the medical field, Kim is fulfilling her dream of working in a veterinary clinic. Kim and her husband Kevin enjoy a quiet life of caring for their horses and dogs. Trail riding in the State Parks is their idea of fun!

  • We recommend that spring shots be done 2-4 weeks prior to the start of your show season and before the mosquitos arrive.
