Anoka Equine provides comprehensive reproductive services that can be used to effectively manage our clients breeding stallions and mares. Mare services include breeding with fresh, fresh cooled and frozen semen as well as problem mare breeding exams. Ultrasound is used to evaluate the mare’s reproductive tract to identify abnormalities as well as to follow her through her estrus cycle for the most accurate breeding timing. In-house breeding packages are available for cooled semen and frozen semen mares. Uterine culture and cytology, small volume lavages, uterine biopsy and hormone assays are available to provide the information required to maximize your mare’s conception rate. Embryo transfer is also available for those mares that can no longer carry a foal, or are too busy with a show career. Stallion services include semen collection and shipment, breeding soundness exams, frozen semen collection and export, and training the stallion to the phantom.
Most services can be provided on the farm and in our hospital facilities. Anoka Equine has worked with some of the finest stallions and mares in the world, representing numerous breeds from draft horses to miniatures and everything in between.
