Teresa Nicholson

Teresa joined Anoka Equine in June of 2000 as a CVT. She graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota (now known as Argosy University), receiving her certification as a Veterinary Techinician. She enjoys snowmobiling, mudding, and trail riding.

Karina Slinger

Karina has been with Anoka Equine since February, 2002. She is a graduate of Iowa State University and owns two half arabians. Her interests include outdoor adventures, riding and training horses, and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Anna Kittok

Anna graduated from Delano Highschool in 2003. She is excited to announce that she had a beautiful baby girl on Christmas Eve Day of 2005, named Kiera Noelle Lytle. She is the pride and joy of the family. She is now working on her stallion "Prahvidence" to build cliental for the 2007 breeding sesaon. She is also spending time breaking out her 1/2 Arab 3 year old filly.

Liz Ovall

Liz started working for Anoka in January of 2005. She is attending Anoka-Ramsey Community College and plans on transfering to a state college for her bachelors degree. She enjoys traveling, extreme sports, snowboarding, riding, and reading.

Erin Holker

Erin grew up on a grain farm in western Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston in 2001, but didn't move to this area and start working at Anoka Equine until the fall of 2004. She and her husband, Dan, own two Quarter Horses and enjoy trail riding and working cows. Her interests include anything outdoors, riding, sports/working out, photography, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

Laurie Bruesehoff

Laurie was raised on a small family farm. In April, 1984 she moved to Lexington and began working at an old historic breeding farm. Over the next 20 years she worked at various breeding farms, TB sales, and on the racetrack. In 1997 she had her son, Logan. She graduated from UW River Falls in May of 2003 with an Animal Science degree with an emphasis in equine. Logan has attended the same Spanish Emersion School since kindergarten. He is now 10 yrs. old and her greatest joy. She is married to Logan's Father, Desi Hernandez who was also a racetrack groom.  She now is enjoying her stay in NE Mpls. with her: son, husband, sister, and niece. "After 20 years I have come home", she says.

Mallory Sturmer

Mallory graduated in June of 2006 from the Lawrence University with her bachelor's degree in biology. She began working at Anoka Equine soon after. She has four cats and two dogs. Her interests include running, sailing, and riding. She hopes to one day become a veterinarian herself.

 Scott Merkling

Scott joined Anoka Equine in May of 2007 as a part time Veterinary Assistant / Handyman. He and his wife, Sheri, along with their children, Matt & Kate, have four horses on a hobby farm in Elk River. They enjoy family trail rides, team roping, camping, hunting and activities with their church. Scott grew up in northern Minnesota, spending most of his free time on horseback, showing, hunting and taking pack trips in Montana & Colorado. He is excited to be working with Anoka Equine where he enjoys learning from all of the staff, working with the clients and their horses.

Shannon Eickhoff

Shannon joined Anoka Equine in August of 2007.  She graduated from Ridgewater College of Willmar in May 2007 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree / Veterinary Technician. Shannon grew up in a VERY small town west of St. Cloud which is where her family's 10 horses are.  She enjoys trail riding and doing parades with her horse Jet, spending time with her family and friends, and basically anything outdoors.

Corinne Peterson

Corinne joined Anoka Equine in February of 2008.

She enjoys being outdoors and riding. Her mom got her and her sister Danielle interested in horses at a young age. Corinne is currently training her 8 year old mare "Nyanna" in games. Barreling is their favorite and they never pass up a trail ride on a nice day!  Their household is busy with 3 dogs, 3 cats and a guinea pig. Corinne's goal for the future is to buy her own property for a hobby farm.

 Brittani

Brittani joined Anoka Equine in February 2008. She anticipates graduating from Argosy University in May 2008. Her hobbies include riding, working out and reading. The majority of her spare time is spent with her two Arabian geldings "Phantom" & "Cal". She also has a dog and two cats.
