Anoka Equine offers progressive and comprehensive reproductive services to assist you in optimizing the effectiveness of your breeding program. Our doctors and staff are skilled at working with numerous breeds of mares and stallions possessing a wide range of temperaments. We pride ourselves on staying current with advanced reproductive services. These services are scheduled at the farm or at the clinic, as appropriate. Mare Services
Breeding a mare can be a complicated process involving the mare, the stallion, multiple horse owners and Anoka Equine. Once you have selected a mare that you would like to breed, we advise that you schedule a breeding soundness exam at least 30 days prior to your planned breeding date. If you are buying a mare for breeding purposes, a pre-purchase breeding soundness examination is highly recommended. This can save you a lot of time, expense and heartache. Your appointment with our breeding doctors will give you ample opportunity to discuss the following: the overall breeding process, your expectations, breeding costs, stallion contract requirements and any other questions or concerns you may have.
